07/31/2009 | Tampa Bay Goods Movement Study launches new web site (7/09)

The Florida Department of Transportation District 7 Tampa Bay Regional Goods Movement Study recently completed and launched a project website, www.tampabayfreight.com. The purpose of the website is to provide local governments, freight stakeholders, and the public with information regarding the efficient movement of goods, from, to, through, and within the Tampa Bay Region defined as Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. For FDOT, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO), County and City transportation and engineering staffs and their consultants, this site provides a valuable source of information on freight issues as well as a gateway into the District Seven interactive Regional Freight Database. Grimail Crawford, Inc., a member of the Study Team, developed the content for the interactive Regional Freight Database, and has also contributed to the Presentations and White Papers section of the website.
